Over-training when not used to excessive exercise can cause muscle fatigue, tension and injury in beginners. However, it is also easy for more experienced athletes to incur an injury, and this is when Sports Massage is recommended. During training there may be only one to two muscles that are used repeatedly which puts a lot of stress on surrounding muscle groups or fibres.
